Hi - John here :)

My passion for design was inspired by fashion magazines. I discovered I was constantly asking 'How did they make this?' 'This' being the layout of the pages and content. I pursued that question and discovered how to use Photoshop and Illustrator. My career began working in retail and eCommerce, building the brand and presence of a clothing store in Washington D.C. My journey lead to understand the impact of strategic marketing, analyzing metrics, and digital story-telling. Tie that with design, I began my passion for information architecture and User Experience Design. I first explored human centered design at a start-up then transitioned to a boutique firm working on applications for the Department of Homeland Security, TSA, and the White House. Regardless of the client or application, my passion for design lies in the intersection of creativity and psychology. My journey has not been linear of a typical designer but I am grateful for the opportunities and the people I have meet that has propelled me to where I am now in my career. The journey of a designer is as beautiful in the applications we create.

I believe you can get a clearer picture of who someone is through their experiences.

I’ve met so many parts of my being through story-telling, kindness, nature, introspection, and my passions.
